I went to my monthly doctor's appointment yesterday, September 6th.
My appointment was at 9:25 and I got there a few minutes early. As I was sitting in the waiting room, a girl and her boyfriend walked in and stood at the receptionist window. The receptionist opened the window and the girl said "I have an appointment with Dr. Mascorro." The receptionist said "Ok, well if you will please sign in and have a seat she'll see you shortly." The girl signed in and went and sat down. A couple of minutes later, the girl walks up to the window and says "I have an appointment with Dr. Mascorro." The receiptionist said, "Yes, I understand. You've signed in and she will see you shortly." The girl goes and sits down. What seemed like only a minute later, the girl walks back up to the receptionist window and says in a frustrated manner "I have an appointment at 1 o'clock with Dr. Mascorro." The receptionist responded with "I'm sorry, but if your appointment isn't until 1, then she won't be able to see you until that time. Is there an emergency?" The girl didn't answer and went back to her seat. She sat there, huffed and puffed, and sighed loudly for the next few minutes. She went back up to the window and said "My appointment is at 1 o'clock with Dr. Mascorro." To which the receptionist politely responded again with "Dr. Mascorro won't be able to see you until your appointment time. Is there an emergency?" The girl said "no" and her and her boyfriend proceeded to walk out of the office. That was that. Can you say weird?!?! It was some interesting entertainment for the day.
So...on to the more important appointment details! Baby Taffy is growing right on schedule. Dr. said I was measuring perfectly for my due date. My blood pressure was fantastic at 124/70. So far, my blood pressure has been looking really good and I'm so thankful. The baby's heart rate was 154. I have now gained 1 pound so far in this pregnancy.
I can't believe we're almost halfway there already! In two weeks, we'll go for our sonogram. I can't wait to share pictures from that! We're definitely ready to see our little guy/girl! Still no progress in the name department. Maybe once we know if it's a boy or girl, we'll start coming closer to making some decisions.
We're heading out on our family mini-vacation tomorrow morning. I hope it will be a fun few days for Jathan. We've got lots of fun things planned. Stay tuned for pictures from our adventures!
