B is for Behind......WAAAAAAYYYYY Behind.

So, I've been terrible at blogging lately.  Nevermind that exhaustion and heat have zapped me completely over the past couple of months, I'm not making excuses -- I've just been lazy!  So....what you've missed (Brace yourselves, folks.  You're in for a long, random post.):

JUNE
Jathan turned the big #3!  Wow!!  It's so hard to believe that 3 years have passed since that little 5 pound, wild haired, early bird blessing came into our lives.  What a joy he is! 

We celebrated his birthday with a Texas Rangers themed party at the Jump Around.  Enjoy some pics from the fun day! 

We took him to Chuck E Cheese on the date of his actual birthday for some more family fun!  It was so funny -- almost as if he knew that by being 3, he was a big boy.  He tried new rides and new games that scared him before.  It was too cute to see his little transformation!


JULY
In July, Jathan's daycare held their annual 4th of July picnic and program.  Mom-o & Pop-o came to watch and enjoy. 
We shared the news of Baby "Taffy" with family and friends in July as well (see previous post).  We had our first sonogram on July 7th.  Look at this sweet little piece of heaven. 

Also in July, I bought me a Kindle!  I've been wanting one for a long time and finally used some birthday money to get one.  I absolutely LOVE it!  I read a humorous pregnancy book and now I'm currently reading (as I make time to do so) Cold Tangerines.  It's a great read!

We celebrated Nannie's birthday in July as well with a cookout at our house.  I made a quick and easy cake that turned out super cute and yummy!  It was a butter cake with whipped icing and raspberries.  Yum!

AUGUST
August brought with it many many days of super hot weather and pretty much as many days of morning sickness....BOO!!!!  Oh the joys, right?!  We had our 2nd doctor's appointment.  All in all, the appointment went well.  The baby's heart rate was strong at 150 beats per minute, my blood pressure looked great and I had lost 2 pounds (due to being so sick).  We'll have our next appointment on September 6th followed by "THE" sonogram on September 21st.  I can't believe we're already to that point!  This seems to be going by so quickly!  I also felt little "Taffy" move for the first time this month.....ahhhh bliss.

I also went on a girls day out trip to Dallas with Tiffany, Debbie, Pansy and Laura.  We had our own version of Say Yes to the Dress as Tiffany tried on wedding gowns.  Of course, everything looked fabulous on her!  It won't be long now until their big day - March 15, 2012. 

Ohhhhhh.....I almost forgot!!!!!  In August, I purchased tickets for a Mom & Daughter outing in November with Mom & Jacy.  CAKE BOSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I can hardly contain my excitement!  Yep..it's ok...go ahead and be jealous.

Well, I guess that's about it for now.  We are looking forward to September -- lots of fun things in store -- Labor Day weekend in Haskell/Knox City, 3rd dr. appointment, fun family mini-vacation, sonogram, KC football (Go Hounds!), West Texas Fair & Rodeo, and a friend's wedding just to name a few of the fun things coming up!  Can't wait!
