Whew. What a whirlwind the last week has been....it's almost a blur!
This past week, I was in Wisconsin to train my replacement for ABB - not quite the most uplifting situation - actually, it was quite draining both mentally and emotionally. I just have a mixed bag of emotions about it all! I'll have to go back once more the beginning of March and then they'll be on their own!
Prior to that, I made a quick overnight trip for a marathon interview for a marketing position in Tyler, TX. I'm hopeful things will work out for this position or the one in Oklahoma. Both seem to have some great benefits for us as a family. If not, I'm sure something else will surface. I'm just starting to get a bit nervous though as time is of the essence! The comforting thing is knowing that God has a specific plan for our family. It definitely is a test and lesson in patience.
While I was gone to Wisconsin, my friend Kendra and her two kiddoes, Jacob and Jordan, watched Jathan 2 evenings while Russell worked. It sounds like they had a blast. In fact, last night as I was putting Jathan to bed he gave Russell "night night sugars" as we call them and said "bye bye Copper," "bye bye Jaco." It was so cute! He had gotten used to Jacob being here!
Wisconsin received over 15 inches of snow while I was there (most of that in less than 24 hours). It was pretty, but by the end of the week, I was snowed-out. I'd had enough! Well, what do ya know....we come home to snow covered Texas! What is up with that?! This has been the weirdest winter ever. It's all the stupid groundhog's fault for seeing his shadow. Whose idea was it anyway to let a rodent decide these things!?!
Here is a pic of Jathan with the snowman he and Russell built together!
