B is for Big Boy

Well, it’s official. My baby is growing up. I’m pretty sure I already knew that, but it’s really been sinking in the last few days. *sniffle* He has learned SO much in the last couple of weeks and months…it’s amazing. It seems like each day he catches on to something new. He’s a barrel of laughs and is such a love bug which just melts my heart.

 

Jathan now:

• weighs 29 lbs & is 32 ½ inches tall
• tries to repeat almost anything you say
• knows TONS of words -- I can't even begin to write them all down
• speaks in short sentences (i.e. Bye Bye Copper, Love You Daddy, Night Night Mommy, Who’s that?, Where’s Copper?, etc.)
• tells us when he needs his diaper changed and has actually gone #1 and #2 in the potty one time (Can you say bye-bye diapers?!)
• counts to 10 (sort of…. he can tell you what comes after 1, 4, 5, 7, 8)
• fake yawns on command (absolutely hilarious)
• says “shess sir” and "shess ma'am"
• answers “no” to every yes/no question you ask him unless prompted otherwise
• makes happy, sad, surprised and “tough guy” faces on command
• tries to put his shoes on by himself (and it’s probably just coincidence, but he puts them on the correct feet more times than not)
• knows where his hair, ears, eyes, nose, mouth, "chompers," arms, hands, legs, and feet are
• has 14 teeth and is working on 2 more

 Can't believe we'll be planning a 2nd birthday soon!  I love my sugar bear!
