B is for Boxes

and boxes and more boxes.  Yep - that's right.  Since I last posted, we moved!  After eight years in Wichita Falls, we packed up the house and moved.  God opened a new door for us and we entered.  Moving day was sad....but happy.  It was sad to leave our first home -- so many memories are tied to that little house on Webb, but I was convinced that this was exactly what God wanted us to do...this was His plan.  He had made everything fall into place in perfect timing leaving no room for doubt.  And because of that, I was excited and anxious and at peace with our decision.  Every prayer had been answered.

Within a two week time frame, I interviewed for a job, was called back in for a second interview, was made a job offer, accepted the job offer and we head to toe cleaned the house, painted two rooms, put the house on the market, went house/daycare/job hunting for Russell in our new city and started the job!  WHAT A WHIRLWIND!  The two weeks following were spent traveling with my new job to Alabama and Corpus Christi.  This left Russell home by himself to maintain a spotless house for showings, coordinate last minute checklist items, pack up our belongings, and take care of Jathan.  He did great!  During the week I was in Alabama Russell received a job offer and a rental property was located for us to live in.  The following week we received an offer on our house and moved that Saturday!  4 weeks start to finish.  What did I tell ya?!  God was working hard for us!

Here is one last picture of Jathan in his (empty) room.  For a little guy whose world was turned completely upside down for a while, he was such a trooper and has adjusted quite well.

We're settled in now, all the boxes are unpacked, and we now call a new place HOME!
